Summary:
- Conducts routine and complex tests for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease, and performs related duties, following established standards and practices.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the testing of laboratory specimens and the reporting of results in all areas of the core laboratory. Automation and middle ware experience a plus. Follows laboratory policies and procedures and maintains quality control practices in the laboratory.
- Conducts routine and complex tests for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease, and performs related duties, following established standards and practices.
- Under general supervision, performs the tests ordered in the specific laboratory section(s) as assigned. Sections include chemistry, hematology, transfusion service, and microbiology.
- Access to coordinator or other professional personnel is required.
- May assist CLA's and other technical team.
- Education: BS Degree in Medical Technology or AAS in Medical Technology from an accredited school, MLS or equivalent..
- Certification / License: MLT (ASCP) or MT (ASCP) certification preferred
- Experience: 2 years of working experience that has a high complex laboratory automation and basic computer knowledge a referred
