Key Responsibilities:

Listen to recorded dictations by physicians and other healthcare professionals.

Transcribe and interpret the dictation into diagnostic test results, operative reports, referral letters, and other documents.

Edit and review transcriptions for accuracy, syntax, and context.

Translate medical abbreviations and jargon into their expanded forms.

Enter medical reports into electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Ensure strict adherence to patient confidentiality and privacy regulations.

Coordinate with healthcare providers to clarify dictation and ensure accurate transcriptions.

Manage and organize dictation files and documents efficiently.

Update and maintain knowledge of medical and pharmaceutical terminology.

Adhere to industry standards and guidelines for medical transcription.

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical transcription is a plus.

Demonstrated experience in medical transcription or a related role.

Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology.

Exceptional typing speed and accuracy.

Knowledge of medical transcription software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Strong attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Familiarity with medical billing and coding practices.
