About the Job
The Medicare Advantage Market Performance Advisor is cross-functional, collaborative role designed to connect Market Provider Performance Enablement field teams with internal resources, issue resolution and gap in care strategies. This individual will be a member of multiple market leadership teams as well as matrix partner liaison for multiple business functions to transfer experience and information among teams and within the Performance Operations department. The Market Performance Advisor supports the development and achievement of performance management goals and driving business outcomes to achieve these goals. This position will report to the Performance Operations Director with direct alignment to 2-3 Market Presidents.
The Market Performance Advisors responsibilities include:
+ Facilitate a strong communication plan between Market President, PPE Leaders, and matrix departments to remove obstacles, improve responsiveness and facilitate prompt, efficient decision making.
+ Serves as a liaison with stakeholders in other functions to communicate and coordinate on issues of mutual interest. While each Market Performance Advisor will be assigned different matrix partner to serve as primary liaison, all Market Performance Advisors will maintain a working knowledge of priorities, business updates and relevant processes across performance topics (Stars, RA, VBA)
+ Implement and manage strategic initiatives with business stakeholders including identifying barriers and establishing solutions in a collaborative manner.
+ Contribute to PPE team understanding of business processes and external resources.
+ Facilitate resolution of barriers to performance improvement for market teams and document pathways to expand understanding and effectiveness of resolution across segment wide PPE team and appropriate matrix partners.
+ Manage PPE project execution within multi-department and/or multi-market scope. This includes but is not limited to HEDIS MRR and RA Audits.
+ Support Market Leadership Teams to prepare and facilitate Market Governance meetings.
Qualifications and Competencies
+ Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with health plan operations preferred, preferably specific to government sponsored health plans.
+ Experience: preferred at least three (3) years direct experience with government sponsored health plans in operations or project management
+ Project Management experience and/or training
+ Communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with immediate team members, business partners, and customers
+ Proven ability to drive key performance indicators through use of dashboards, scorecards, and action planning.
+ Strong ability to build consensus around complex technical and business decisions
+ Proven people interaction skills and interpersonal skills necessary to facilitate productive discussions and foster collaboration within and across teams
+ Demonstrated ability to step forward to address difficult issues
+ Demonstrated ability to lead and influence without direct authority
+ Proven analytical abilities especially in decision making and problem solving
+ Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and the ability to deal with ambiguity
+ Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word proficiency
Location : Strongly preferred to be located in the East or Southeast market
