The Position:
We're looking for a passionate Medication Aide - Health Services is responsible for providing healthcare services via safely administering medications and treatments to residents and on-going consultation under the supervision of a Registered Nurse of Licensed Practical Nurse. Responsibilities include:
- Medication Assistants provide care and services for residents that include, but is not limited to, personal care and activities of daily living as needed.
- Administers the medications and treatments, according to the scheduled times, following the medication administration protocol.
- Performs tasks associated with medication administration, including resident vital signs, calculate medication dosages, and stock the medication cart.
- Records medication administration according to federal, state, local, and Company guidelines. All records and documentation must be legible and accurate on the medication record MAR.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in long term care, healthcare, or work with the elderly preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Satisfactory completion of a Nurse's Aide Program.
- State of Hawaii Board of Nursing Certification for Nurse Aide preferred.
