About the Job
Summary:
As a Member Service Representative, you'll play a pivotal role in our branch operations. From setting up new IRA accounts to assisting loan applicants and opening various account types, your responsibilities will be varied and rewarding.
Duties:
- Provides members with information on all product/service offerings.
- Opens new accounts and seeks opportunities to cross-sell other products. Assists members with problem resolution or account questions.
- Maintains a cash drawer and works as a teller when needed.
- Processes account changes of title and lost passbook claims.
- Places appropriate holds on accounts.
- Processes changes of address and accurately enters new members into computer system.
- Interviews and advises loan applicants relative to their needs and qualifications.
- Prepares loan documents and closes loans according to established guidelines after approval.
- Provides rates and repayment schedules on all types of loans.
- Establishes new IRAs including rollovers and transfer letters.
- Processes contributions and distributions.

Requirements:
At least two (2) years of experience within the financial services industry with previous supervisory/leadership experience. Demonstrated sales skills and ability to promote a sales environment. Strong accuracy and attention-to-detail. Positive/professional approach with strong communication skills. Demonstrated ability to use sound judgment and solve problems. Strong proficiency with systems and software packages, including Microsoft Office. Work schedule flexibility is required.
