The Chester Family YMCA is seeking a strong leader with proven relationship-building and communication skills to serve as its Member Services Director.

DUTIES
The Membership Director will focus on building strong relationships with our staff, members, and community. This position will also hire, train, and mentor the membership department staff with active listening and empathic leadership. This position will also have direct oversight over childwatch and gym monitors.
The Member Services Director will promote, foster, and support the Y's commitment to access, inclusion, and engagement for all by engaging diverse populations in a welcoming environment. The Director will work closely with wellness and other departments to help take our membership to the next level through innovative ideas; creative programming; communication of the Y mission; and developing and maintaining positive relationships with members, staff, volunteers and community leaders. The Membership Director will need strategic decision-making skills and high levels of efficient and clear communication.
This is a hands-on position that will require afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
QUALIFICATIONS
A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred. At least three years of related experience is required, with at least three years in a supervisory role. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal abilities, and a flexible work style are necessary. Diplomacy, tact, and the ability to work with a variety of people, in a variety of situations are essential. Must be able to meet deadlines, manage interruptions, handle requests efficiently and have strong computer proficiency.

Salary: $40,000 - $42,000
