Dartmouth Health’s Department of Psychiatry seeks to hire a mental health provider to join the embedded care mental health team in the HIV program within the section of Infectious Disease at Dartmouth Health located in Bedford, NH.
Ideal candidates will share the values of collaboration, advocacy, education, and trauma informed care. Candidates with prior experience working with people with chronic illness, marginalization, trauma, and/or substance use disorders will be preferred.
We are offering a $7000 sign-on/retention bonus for this position. *The bonus is available for external hires only, and certain conditions apply.
This is a full-time, 40-hour/week, benefitted position.

Responsibilities:- Provide psychosocial assessments and counseling of patients and families in the care of the HIV program, as well as patients living with HCV and taking PrEP
- Evaluate, diagnose and provide treatment for patients within areas including but not limited to anxiety disorders, mood disorders, substance use disorders, eating disorders; is expected to refer out if patients are outside scope of practice.
- Availability for consultation, and support during clinic hours at identified clinics.
- Collaborate effectively with team members when appropriate.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned.
- Master’s degree in social work OR Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, Marriage & Family Counseling/Therapy, or Addictions Counseling from an accredited institution of higher education, including an internship meeting professional standards
- Must be able to demonstrate that he or she has provided psychological services, on an inpatient, outpatient or consultative basis in the past 12 months.
- Licensed at the time of hire as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) OR Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor (LADC) in New Hampshire
