River Edge seeks a qualified individual to join as the Team Lead for the Misdemeanor Mental Health Court, responsible for providing comprehensive support to MMC participants, including assessment, treatment planning, coordination with jail and behavioral health staff, supervision of case managers, therapy provision, staff training, team meeting facilitation, crisis management, and community service connection.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Interview potential MMC participants as needed; meet while the client is incarcerated in the Fulton County Jail, Union City Jail, or after the participant has been released.
- Complete bio-psychosocial assessments; LS/CMI Risk Needs Assessments and ASAM Treatment Needs Assessment and discharge plan.
- Develop client treatment plans and review treatment plan updates (assistance with Case Managers).
- Work with jail health/behavioral health staff on referrals, and coordinate discharges and discharge plans. Contact NaphCare for potential MMC participants’ mental health treatment updates before the participants are released.
- Provide case manager coordination of treatment planning and services.
- Provide individual, group (MRT Group Assistant, thinking for a Change TBD), and family therapy to participants and their families concerning mental health needs and/or substance abuse disorders as needed.
- Supervise Case Managers with daily case management tasks/responsibilities concerning the mental health treatment of the MMC Participants, appointment assistance follow-up as needed, caseload review, etc.
- Provide training to direct care staff in the implementation of treatment plans and behavior modification techniques as needed.
- Lead weekly team meetings for client updates, and referral(s) needed with case managers; discuss admissions/Intake process to ensure a timely and smooth transition into treatment, making sure all required documentation(s) are received for the program referral.
- Attend weekly MMC team meetings, trainings, court, and hearings as required.
- Provide crisis management to MMC participants as needed.
- Connect participants to outside community services i.e. individual and family therapy sessions, psychiatrist appointments, parenting classes, anger management classes, etc.
- Provide MMC Report, Fulton County Monthly Reports, and Quarterly Reports to River Edge.
- Update Casework client notes daily and review CM case notes submitted to Casework.
- Provide referral resources to outside providers (based on assessments make referrals to the most appropriate programs and agencies), maintain a working knowledge of treatment agencies and program list of resources that can be shared with clients.
- Provide clinical consultation to referral resources, mentors, family members, and others that help support the participant while in recovery and the MMC Program.
- Email weekly Court Ordered Random Drug Screens to River Edge Staff Clinic.
- Submit Weekly MMC Client Summary Reports for Client Court Reporting.
- Attend MMC compliance court on Fridays for court staffing meetings and MMC Participant Calendar; Attend MMC Sanction Hearing as required.
- Attend monthly River Edge Leadership Meetings.
- Interview potential applicants for Licensed Associated Clinician or Case Manager as needed.
- Attend all recommended River Edge or Fulton County Court MH Trainings as required or (as needed) and monitor staff training for compliance.
- Meet regularly with the immediate supervisor as a means of enhancing professional growth, reviewing, and processing the provision of case management services, and dealing with appropriate administrative issues.
- Maintain professional licensure as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor consistent with the position and in compliance with agency policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in social service field (e.g., Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Human Services) or related field, such as counseling.
- Fully Licensed in either - LAPC, LMSW, LAMFT, LMFT, LPC, LCSW) or Associate-level licensure required in one of the following: LAPC, LMSW, LAMFT, LMFT, LPC, LCSW
- At least one (1) year of experience working with individuals experiencing substance use, homelessness, involvement with the judicial system, and mental and behavioral health concerns is required.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software and the ability to perform basic functions such as composing business forms, letters, and spreadsheets.
- Valid GA driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Competencies:
- Empathy: A mental health supervisor needs to demonstrate empathy towards both clients and team members, understanding their perspectives and providing support in challenging situations.
- Communication: Effective communication skills are essential for a mental health supervisor to convey information, listen actively, and foster open dialogue within the team and with clients.
- Clinical Supervision: Proficiency in providing clinical supervision to mental health professionals, including guiding case conceptualization, treatment planning, and interventions, while adhering to ethical and legal standards.
- Crisis Intervention: Ability to effectively manage crises, including assessing risk, de-escalating conflicts, and implementing appropriate intervention strategies to ensure the safety and well-being of clients and staff.
- Program Development and Evaluation: Experience in developing and evaluating mental health programs and services, including designing outcome measures, collecting, and analyzing data, and making evidence-based recommendations for program improvement.
