Mental Health/Residential Support Worker - New Vitae Wellness and Recovery

Seeking individuals who enjoy helping others make changes to their lives. Position involves assisting adults with significant mental health challenges learn the skills and strategies to help them move toward a more independent lifestyle. Working closely with the therapeutic team, drives the daily work toward goals related to self-care,  managing symptoms and medication, effective personal relationships, engagement/re-engagement with community, management of home/living space, meal planning/preparation, employment skills and support, budgeting, and more.  

Flexible start/end times are available, however ideal work hours are between 10:00am and 6:30pm, with at least one weekend shift required. Shifts of four 10-hour days are available, as desired. No overnights. Full and Part-time positions available.

All candidates must have a valid driver's license, mandatory drug testing and a criminal background check.

Minimum requirements for the position include:
 

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited program in an area of human services, which includes, but may not be limited to the following: sociology, political science, counseling, criminal justice, pastoral counseling, elementary/special education of family therapy, and, a minimum of one (1) year direct care experience or supervised practice in lieu of the experience requirement.

OR

• High school diploma (or equivalency) plus twelve (12) college credit hours in behavioral health-related courses, and two (2) years direct care experience
