Mental Health Therapist - Adolescent Treatment - Northern Pines Mental Health

We are seeking a Mental Health Professional or Clinical Trainee to join our Youth Assertive Community Treatment (YACT) team! This full-time or part-time role will travel throughout our six-county service region to see clients in a community setting. The general purpose of this position is to provide mental health services to youth and families referred to Northern Pines Mental Health Center.

Essential Functions include:

• Facilitate and co-facilitate individual, group, family, and crisis therapies
• Competencies and ability to provide empirically-supported psychotherapy to address a wide range of clinical and behavioral issues
• Provide intakes, diagnostic evaluations, and updates to evaluations
• Develop and implement a treatment plan
• Complete a Behavior Intervention/Crisis Plan
• Complete third party billing requirements such as obtaining prior authorizations and communicating with the billing office as necessary
• Collaborate regularly with both staff and community partners including: schools, social services, court services, medical agencies, mental health providers, managed care organizations and the community at large
• Provide referrals as appropriate
• Maintain necessary written records in accordance with NPMHC policies and procedures and other applicable regulations
• Provide crisis intervention services as requested
• Provide education as needed

Qualifications include:

• A Master’s Degree in the behavioral sciences field (e.g. Psychology, Marriage/ Family, Social Work, Clinical Mental Health Counseling)
• A valid license in behavioral health without restrictions ( e.g. LICSW, LPCC, LP, LMFT, NP) in the State of MN. Clinical Supervision is available; License-seeking trainees are encouraged to apply! 
• Valid Driver’s License
• Experience working with adolescents in a mental health setting is preferred
