MEP Engineer, P.E.
This position will be tasked with designing and managing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems for our community buildings, including HVAC, lighting, power, water supply, and drainage.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing MEP systems and ensuring code compliance.
- Reviewing and approving materials, substitutions, and plan modifications.
- Generating HVAC energy and load calculations.
- Collaborating with engineering teams, utility providers, and authorities on constructability issues and regulations.
- Reviewing and responding to construction document comments and requests for information.
- Expediting MEP plan approvals.
- Troubleshooting technical issues with MEP systems, including site visits.
- Meeting project timelines and quality expectations.
Experience & Abilities
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration is required, including the ability to become credentialed in multiple states.
- Familiarity with building codes and regulations.
- Experience in designing MEP systems for buildings and facilities.
- Knowledge of computer-aided design software (AutoCAD MEP and REVIT).
- Knowledge of current design codes and standards.
- Time management and leadership abilities to prioritize, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently and as a team member with minimal direction.
- Flexibility to work in a changing environment
