Salary: $275,000 - $335,000
We are seeking a Mergers & Acquisitions Resource Attorney to join our team and provide comprehensive support to our practice groups. This role focuses on enabling our practitioners to be more informed and efficient by augmenting selected practice groups with resource attorneys. The M&A resource attorney will be responsible for various tasks including Transaction Database Management, Form and Precedent Drafting/Management, Legal Updates, Legal Education, Marketing/Business Development, Assisting with Individual Attorney Requests, and contributing to New Initiatives. The ideal candidate must be a licensed attorney with at least 7 years of experience in a US M&A corporate/transactional practice, possessing strong drafting and organizational skills. Attention to detail, organizational skills, flexibility, and being a team player are crucial success factors for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Transaction Database Management: Inputting deal terms into the Transaction Database and maintaining the database.
Form and Precedent Drafting/Management: Preparing drafts of template documents and organizing the M&A group’s forms and precedents.
Legal Updates: Monitoring legal and regulatory developments, preparing summaries and alerts, and ensuring new legal requirements are reflected in our practice resources.
Legal Education: Contributing to associate and firmwide training efforts relative to M A.
Marketing/Business Development: Strategizing on Cooley M A promotion, assisting with the creation of content for pitches and teach-ins, and other marketing activities.
Assisting with Individual Attorney Requests: Handling day-to-day requests from attorneys for resources.
New Initiatives: Involvement in resource, knowledge management, and practice innovation projects.
The expected annual pay range for this position is $275,000 - $335,000. Skills and Experience:
