Metal Roofing Estimator - Metal Roofing Systems

The Metal Roofing Estimator will be responsible for managing the customer pipeline – from contacting leads to completing the sale of commercial roofing projects. This includes creating estimates, the selling of developments, as well as the nurturing and growing of customer relationships. Must have an understanding of commercial roofing products and systems, have excellent oral and written communication skills, and be an analytical thinker.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Gather information from construction documents (plans, specifications, addendums)
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and takeoffs for commercial projects based on historical data, field notes, and future plans
• Handle incoming communications with vendors and customers
• Remain up to date with current/projected cost from vendors
• Create commercial roofing quotes for products requested on projects based on cost of material, pricing from vendors, and labor
• Communicate with outside sales staff on project timelines, cost evaluations, and customer expectations
• Ability to manage multiple preconstruction projects
• Use Microsoft Excel and Office tools to notate and maintain records

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma/GED required
• 1+ years of experience of commercial roofing products and systems
• Must pass a background check and drug test
• Ability to maintain sales margin
• Excellent time-management and customer service skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Word, in particular)
