POSITION SUMMARY
Manage and maintaining the master production schedule and long-range material requirements forecast while considering current inventory, lead times and production capacity. This will involve working closely with sales, production, engineering and purchasing and others to coordinate manufacturing plans that achieve the company objectives relative to customer service, efficient resource/capacity utilization and inventory investment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Working with sales, production, engineering and purchasing, develop the production and materials forecast for the business, generally focused entire planning horizon.
- Respond to inquiries about the forecast to determine when new orders can be scheduled and delivered.
- Maintain a portion of the Oracle data for both supplied and make parts. This includes updating cumulative lead times on Make Items, managing attributes (e.g. phantom to SA) and Managing/Updating ATP Rules while working closely with Production, Purchasing and Engineering.
- Lead/facilitate the business in establishing production capabilities for product demand forecasts, providing procurement with material requirements forecasts and running production capacity forecast simulations.
- Demonstrate leadership qualities to exercise influence both throughout the organization and with external parties.
- Participate in in/outsource decisions making by working with operations, engineering and purchasing.
- Participate in sourcing decisions for production optimization to ensure that UE Manufacturing can be as flexible and efficient as possible in responding to customer requirements.
- Lead and participate in continuous improvement efforts to improve KPI performance, processes, employee morale, customer satisfaction and waste reduction.
- Provide strong leadership to assigned employees to ensure high morale, teamwork, skills development, and good employee relations.
- Ensure compliance to all group systems, guidelines, and policies.
- Maintain a strong, personal commitment to the safety.
- All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related experience.
- Supervisory/management experience preferred.
- Three to five years ‘experience in leading Continuous Improvement activities, preferred.
- Well-developed knowledge of the Oil and Gas industry including stimulation and other support equipment, preferred.
- Continuous improvement and/or lean manufacturing training/certification, preferred.
- Demonstrable ability to apply strategic vision to an organization.
