Job Duties: Provide subject matter expert (SME) for business partners on microbiological and sterilization activities to support manufacturing of Mentor products. Support and oversee front and back-room audits and inspections for all Quality Control (QC) Lab activities. Oversee the development and implementation of processes and procedures for incoming, in process, and finished goods inspection and testing. Implement continuous improvement initiatives that ensure efficient, productive, and compliance actions in all areas of QC laboratory. Write, oversee, and conduct validation protocol and reports for test methods, equipment, lab software, and special studies in all areas of QC department. Provide technical guidance for execution of laboratory testing necessary to support product and process qualifications and R&D projects. Provide support for investigations into lab OOS results and non-conformance records. Help shape and deliver lab strategy to ensure effective communication with team and wider audience. Partner with management to develop and implement meaningful trending of QC performance. Mentor and oversee both technical and non-technical resources in investigations, troubleshooting, escalation, and resolutions of product and process quality issues. Demonstrate independent understanding and application of all core Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), including Data Integrity and Good Documentation Practices. Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biological Sciences, or related field and 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a Microbiology and Sterilization Team Leader-related occupation .
