Job Description:
Technical/Functional Skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft / Visual Studio suite of development tools (Team Foundation Server, SharePoint, Project Server, SQL Server)
• An understanding of additional Application Lifecycle Management architectures (e.g., IBM Rational, VersionOne, Atlassian) is a plus
• Experience with the development build cycle (e.g. tools such as Hudson & Jenkins, ANT, Maven, Veracode, Test Manager, Release Manager is a plus)
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft products in a VMware, clustered, load balanced, high availability environment is a plus
• Ability to develop requirements for deployment and implementation of new integrated development environments and lifecycle computing systems to support the common application development and sustaining lifecycles
• Ability to implement development functions into the software development lifecycle
• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office
Roles & Responsibilities
Applies and provides technical leadership in developing and validating improved processes, technologies and large scale systems to support customers and stakeholders
Work with the Microsoft Team Foundation Server/Visual Studio Application Lifecycle Management environment
Collaborate with cross functional teams virtually and in person for Production support and releasing new vendor software upgrades, Operating Systems upgrades, Infrastructure upgrades and Migration of service from datacenters.
Participate in Deployments, Production support, Tech Insertion and Data center Migration projects
Develop test scripts and perform testing functions (MTM)
Facilitates development and deployment of system integration strategies that promote use of common tools and processes
Works with appropriate product supplier for enhancements and issues not resolved in-house
Draft data and information management products and service standards
Participates in technical review boards and provides technical support and consultation for the implementation and usage of the Microsoft products
Requires excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
Must feel comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic and flexible environment
Must be able to work extended hours as needed including being available for off hours production support.
