Join us. **Job Description** **AECOM** is seeking a talented **Mid-Level Civil Engineer** to join our New England Transportation business line. The ideal candidate will be part of the New England Track Group located in **Chelmsford & Boston, MA** . The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of engineering tasks including, but not limited to conceptual engineering, design, planning, final engineering, constructability, and cost estimating. **Daily duties and responsibilities;** + Coordinates and provides technical expertise for mid- large size projects. + Leads technical client relationships related to track design, track construction and phasing of work. + Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise. + Reviews and approves track designs prepared by others + Develops estimates for the track engineering budgets + Assists in determining schedules to perform track work. + Coordinates with multiple departments related to a projects scope of work. + Develop Procurement specifications. + Perform field track inspections and develop criteria and testing requirements. **Qualifications** **Minimum Requirements;** + BA/BS in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or related field plus four years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. + Professional Engineer (PE) License **Preferred Qualifications;** + Experience designing transit and transportation infrastructure. + Experience with design software including MicroStation, Inroads and/or OpenRoads, AutoCAD Civil 3D. + Working knowledge of FRA, DOT, AREMA and local railroad/transit requirements + Working knowledge of applicable IEEE, NESC and other industry standards. + Familiar with MS Office. + Experience in client relations, task leadership, and team mentoring. + Able to work out of an AECOM office, + MBTA, MassDOT, CTDOT, MTA or other passenger/commuter railroad agencies preferred. **Additional Information** All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines. + **Sponsorship is not available for this position.** + **Relocation assistance is not available for this position.** \#LI-SG1 Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
