About the Job
The Mid-Level Graphic Design Specialist is responsible for developing and executing design concepts that align with the organization’s brand and production standards. This role involves managing the design and production of graphic art for various media channels, coordinating with customers and stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery. The Mid-Level Graphic Design Specialist also helps in curating content for communication channels and maintaining the organization's brand image.
Responsibilities
- Design and produce a wide range of graphics, digital media, and visual content for change effort communications across a diversity of formats (e.g., briefings, newsletters, flyers, posters, fact sheets, websites, social media, news and announcements, trifolds, and branding materials)
- Ensure all designs are aligned with the client branding, providing compelling visuals that effectively communicate targeted messages to stakeholders
- Create artifacts for various platforms, including print and digital media
- Collaborate with the Senior Communication Specialist and client to support the graphic design needs for events, presentations, and other communication engagements
- Design assets for publications, including articles, newsletters, videos, booth displays, and other materials for conferences and events
- Update the content and design of the client’s internal website as needed
- Assist in creating content for various communication channels, including press releases, blog posts, social media updates, and video production
- Support the client’s social media strategy by designing visuals for consistent messaging and stakeholder engagement
- Work with customers and stakeholders to conceptualize and deliver design projects on time, ensuring alignment with stakeholder requirements
- Maintain an ongoing collaboration with the client to incorporate current graphics and branding into new designs
- Ensure that all design artifacts comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
- Monitor the effectiveness of graphic and visual materials, gathering feedback to improve designs and ensure they meet the intended communication objectives
- Share design insights, best practices, and content guidelines with the broader team to ensure consistent messaging and quality standards
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in graphic design, visual arts, or related fields
- Strong understanding of design principles, including color theory, composition, typography, and digital design
- Proficiency in production management and digital design tools/software
- U.S. Citizenship
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Graphic Design or related fields is a plus.
- Experience with digital media, social media strategy, and content creation for multiple platforms.
- Previous federal consulting experience preferred
