We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer with 5 - 8 years of experience to join our team. In this role, you will participate in the implementation of manufacturing plans, estimating and bidding processes, and tracking costs to manage project budgets. Day to Day Responsibilities
- Manufacturing Plan Implementation: Assist in the development and execution of manufacturing plans, ensuring designs are feasible and meet project requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address any issues that arise during the implementation phase.
- Estimating and Bidding: Contribute to the preparation of estimates and bids for new projects. Analyze project specifications and requirements to provide accurate cost and time estimates.
- Cost Tracking and Budget Management: Monitor project costs and track expenses to ensure adherence to the project budget. Identify and report any discrepancies or potential overruns to project managers.
- Design and Analysis: Support the design and analysis of mechanical systems and components. Utilize engineering software and tools to create models, simulations, and prototypes.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of design processes, modifications, and project progress. Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in the evaluation and improvement of engineering processes and practices. Provide feedback and suggestions for enhancing project efficiency and quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 5 - 8 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in a manufacturing or project-based environment.
- Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, MATLAB) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, manufacturing processes, and cost estimation techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and communicate clearly with team members and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
