WHAT YOU WILL DO:We are seeking a skilled Network Infrastructure Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of our network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in working with a variety of network devices, including repeaters, bridges, routers, gateways, and hubs. Additionally, they should possess a strong working knowledge of virtualized, networked environments, with specific expertise in VMWare and HyperV-based systems.
Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and maintain network infrastructure components such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Configure and manage virtualized environments using VMWare and HyperV technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess network requirements and develop solutions that meet business needs.
- Integrate security COTS products, including firewalls, web gateways, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) systems, into the network architecture.
- Conduct regular network performance monitoring and troubleshooting to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.
- Implement network security measures and protocols to protect against unauthorized access and data breaches.
- Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing and future reference.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve network infrastructure and security practices.
- Ten (10) years experience in network administration.
- Minimum seven (7) years experience with computer networking protocols including, but not limited to TCP, IP, UDP, HTTP, DHCP, and DNS.
- Five (5) years of experience with integrated processing environments.
- Cisco certifications preferred (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE).
