- Leadership & Mentorship: Software Engineer will mentor less experienced team members, fostering ongoing learning and self-development
- Process Improvement: Champion a continuous improvement mindset and drive the automation of software engineering processes
- Project Management: Lead end-to-end efforts for medium complexity features, overseeing technical design through completion
- Software Development: Execute coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the development process for projects of moderate to high complexity
- Agile Practices: Identify and recommend improvements to the software development lifecycle and agile engineering best practices
- Collaboration: As a Software Engineer, you will work with users to translate designs and solution architecture into specifications; Conduct demos and support automated testability
- Architecture Coordination: Partner with the architecture organization to design, modernize, and implement applications that meet business strategies and specifications
- Documentation: Ensure proper documentation of software design and collaborate with business partners to implement solutions aligned with architecture standards
- Effective Communication: Clearly communicate ideas and information, both verbally and in writing
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years in application and software development
- Agile Methodologies: Knowledge of iterative project management approaches
- Application Security: Familiarity with practices to protect applications from threats
- Cloud Computing: Proficient in managing cloud services and developing cloud applications
- Continuous Improvement: Ability to identify and lead initiatives for value creation
- Debugging: Skills in identifying and resolving software bugs
- DevSecOps: Understanding of integrating security into the software development lifecycle
- General Programming: Competence in programming languages for task automation
- Log Monitoring: Ability to analyze software system behavior and performance
- Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC): Knowledge of processes for designing, developing, and testing software
- Software Testing: Skills in assessing software quality for stakeholders
- Version Control Systems: Experience with tools for managing changes to code and documents
- AZ-204 Certification is a plus
- Full-stack development experience with the Microsoft technology stack (C#, BLAZOR, .NET Core, Microsoft SQL Server, Azure, Infrastructure as Code)
- Understanding of Agile methodologies, software release management, and DevSecOps principles
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
