Mid/Senior Electrical Engineer - MDS Staffing

Under the direction of the Engineering Manager, theSenior Electrical Engineer oversees and leads the design of electricalcontrolsystemsforsafe,effective,andefficientoperationofStatesMfg.productsandprocesseswhile meeting and exceeding company quality and production standards and customer documentation and delivery requirements.

JobDutiesandResponsibilities(EssentialFunctions)

·Ideal candidate will have 10+ years overseeing, leading and designing electrical product control systems for LV and MV switchgear assemblies, developing and implementing engineering standards, complyingwithapplicablecodesandcustomerspecificationswithinaprojectmanagementstructureto ensure workflow remains within schedule and budget requirements.

·Reviewandinterpretcustomerspecificationsandsalesagreementsandprovidedirectiontoother engineers and designers.

·AbilitytodesignandleaddesignsusingAutoCADElectricaltoolsandlibraries.

·Improvethedesignprocessusingstandardizedpractices,toolsandsystems,improvethequalityand productivity of the design and support process while reducing schedule and budget.

·Evaluateandselectelectrical/electroniccomponentsforcontrolsystems,switchgear,panelboards, control panels.

·Providetechnicaltroubleshootingsupportforcustomersandfieldservicepersonnel.

·Participateincross-functionalteamstoaddressandresolvemanufacturing,designandquality problems, and pursue continuous improvement of design and manufacturing and installation processes and methods.

·Providetraining,authordocumentation,proceduresandworkinstructionstomentorandgrowthe technical competencies of engineering teams.

·Supportnewproductdevelopmentinitiativesbyremaininguptodatewithnewindustryproducts, technologies and trends.

·PreserveandgrowstrongrelationshipswithStatesMfgsuppliers,manufacturersandvendors.

·Provideonsitecommercialandtechnicalfieldsupportwithupto10%localregionaldaytripsto customers and suppliers, including a small number of occasional domestic trips.

·Followallhousekeepingproceduresandrules,complywithallqualityandsafetyregulations.

·Abletostandorsitforextendedperiodsoftime,andsafelylift40 lbs.

RequiredSkillsandExperience(Minimumrequirementsintermsofeducationalbackground,workexperience, licenses/certifications or other knowledge, skills, and abilities).

·Designandleadthedesignofmulti-phaseandDCswitchgear,switchboards,panelboardsin accordance with customer’s functional requirements for LV and MV equipment.

·Supportproductassembly,manufacturingandtesting.
