Our global alternative asset management client is seeking a Middle Office Technical Analyst to enhance the technology capabilities within the Middle Office and Controllers teams. The selected candidate will be a business-driven technologist and functional subject matter expert who works closely with key stakeholders in Investment Operations. The role includes leading initiatives, gathering and documenting business requirements, and overseeing the development, testing, implementation, and ongoing support of those initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with middle office operations professionals to understand and produce business and functional requirements, working with development teams to implement solutions.
Coordinate with internal resources and application vendors to establish appropriate development approaches and timelines.
Track and maintain project plans, risk matrices, issues lists, and related project documentation to ensure successful implementation.
Develop comprehensive test cases and participate in development and quality assurance (QA) testing.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders, fostering strong relationships.
Analyze middle office platform processes and capabilities, contributing to the ongoing development of a technology strategy.
Ensure that service level agreements (SLAs) and key metrics are met or exceeded.
Identify and implement best practices to optimize system usage internally and externally.
Act as an escalation point for support issues, providing well-documented root cause analysis (RCA) and permanent resolutions.
Experience Required:
8+ years of experience in full-cycle SDLC methodologies, including business requirements refinement, functional specifications, development, and testing.
3+ years of experience with C#, Python, SQL, and Excel Macros.
Proficiency in business analysis methodologies, use case modeling, and strong analytical and logic skills.
Experience with data warehouse & business intelligence platforms, including data modeling concepts.
Deep understanding of middle office functions and knowledge of credit instruments (Bank Loans, Bonds, Derivatives, etc.).
Experience with a leading fund accounting platform is required; FIS VPM is strongly preferred.
Experience with systems integration of applications hosted in cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with business users, technical teams, and stakeholders.
A self-directed, motivated team player with a strong work ethic, capable of thriving in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment while managing multiple projects.
Educational Requirements:
An advanced degree from a top university is strongly preferred.
