Our global alternative asset management client is seeking a Middle Office Technical Analyst to advance the technology capabilities for the Middle Office and Controllers teams. As a business-focused technologist and functional subject matter expert, the selected candidate will lead projects and collaborate with key stakeholders in Investment Operations. This individual will be responsible for gathering and documenting business requirements, coordinating development, testing, and implementation, as well as providing ongoing support for these initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with middle office operations professionals to understand and produce business and functional requirements, working alongside development teams to implement solutions.
Work with internal resources and application vendors to determine appropriate development approaches and timelines.
Track and maintain project plans, risk matrices, issue lists, and all related project documentation to ensure successful implementation.
Develop comprehensive test cases and participate in development and QA testing.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders and continuously build strong relationships.
Assist in analyzing middle office platform processes and capabilities, contributing to the development of a technology strategy.
Ensure SLAs and other key metrics are met or exceeded by partnering with the business.
Identify best practices for optimizing system usage internally and externally.
Act as an escalation point for support issues, providing well-documented root cause analysis (RCA) and permanent solutions.
Experience Required:
8+ years of experience with full-cycle SDLC methodologies, including refining business requirements, defining functional specifications, development, and testing.
3+ years of experience with C#, Python, SQL, and Excel Macros.
Experience with a leading wire management platform is required; IVP Cash Master is strongly preferred.
Knowledge of systems managing SSI for wire transfers, generating SWIFT messages, automating cash settlements, and handling straight-through processing.
Experience with payment processing and SWIFT message formats such as MT1XX, MT2XX, and MT9XX.
Proficiency in business analysis methodologies, use case modeling, and excellent conceptual, analytical, and logical skills.
Deep understanding of middle office functions and knowledge of credit instruments (Bank Loans, Bonds, Derivatives, etc.).
Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with business users, technical teams, and stakeholders.
Self-directed and motivated, with a strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team.
Capable of thriving in a high-intensity, fast-paced environment and managing multiple active projects.
Educational Requirements:
An advanced degree from a top university is strongly preferred.
