Talent Vision, a leading Staffing and Consulting Firm, is collaborating with a reputable charter school in Rochester, NY, to fill the position of Middle School Math Teacher. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction and fostering a positive learning environment for middle school students. Your passion for mathematics and dedication to student success will be key in helping students develop a solid foundation in math.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum and meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Deliver instruction in middle school math concepts, including but not limited to algebra, geometry, and statistics.
- Utilize various teaching strategies and resources to support student learning and foster critical thinking skills.
- Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to students and parents/guardians.
- Establish a positive and inclusive classroom culture that promotes respect, collaboration, and a love for learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective instructional practices.
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational trends.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other relevant information.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field is required; a master's degree is preferred.
- Valid teaching certification in math for middle school is required.
- Prior teaching experience, specifically in math instruction, is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of middle school math curriculum and instructional strategies.
- Passion for teaching and deep understanding of math concepts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment for all students.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, administrators, and parents/guardians.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of students and respond to changing circumstances.
