## Overview
The State of Vermont is hiring a Military Building Construction
Specialist in Jericho. Candidate will perform maintenance project work
for the State of Vermont Military Dept. Position performs small
construction, maintenance and renovation projects within existing and
newly built state and federally owned and occupied buildings. Candidates
should have considerable knowledge of various trades, in addition to
safety procedures required when performing construction and repair of
facilities. oversees all facets and full cycle of a project from
planning, plans review, and job over site, including overseeing the work
of state and contracted trades people. Candidate will be expected to
write scopes of work, bill of materials and submit requests for
proposals as well as tracking and current contracts and ensuring
extensions and funding are submitted in a timely manner. Work is
performed under the supervision of District Facilities Manager.
As of July 14, 2024 the step 1 rate for pay grade 20 will be $22.49 per
hour.
## Environmental Factors
Work is performed in both office and field settings, outdoors and inside
buildings. Manual dexterity may be needed to operate equipment and use
tools. Incumbents must be able to life heavy weights. Travel of moderate
distances will occur with some frequency.
