We are seeking a talented and experienced Millwork Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. This is a permanent, full-time position where you will play a critical role in the design and production of high-quality millwork products. You will be working on a diverse range of projects, from custom cabinetry and furniture to complex architectural woodworking pieces. This role is perfect for someone who has a keen eye for detail, a passion for woodworking, and a strong understanding of CNC operations and CAD software.
Responsibilities:
- Design and engineer custom millwork products, including cabinets, furniture, and architectural woodwork.
- Generate and review shop drawings using AutoCAD, Inventor, and Microvellum software.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to ensure designs meet specifications and quality standards.
- Operate and program CNC machines to produce high-quality millwork components.
- Adhere to AWI (Architectural Woodworking Institute) standards and guidelines in all projects.
- Analyze and resolve design and production issues, implementing solutions to improve efficiency and quality.
- Assist in material selection and procurement, ensuring optimal quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Participate in project meetings, providing technical input and updates on project status.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the millwork or manufacturing industry.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Inventor, Microvellum, Autodesk, Mozaik, and other relevant CAD software.
- Extensive knowledge of CNC operations, programming, and maintenance.
- Strong understanding of AWI standards and guidelines.
- Proven experience in designing and engineering custom millwork products, including cabinetry and furniture.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve design and production issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and clients.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Knowledge of material properties, procurement processes, and cost-effective strategies.
- A degree in Engineering, Woodworking, or a related field is preferred.
