Summary
The PPE Field Service Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of Field Service resources that execute millwright and general mechanical activities typically associated with rotating equipment in an industrial environment, including (but not limited to) chemical plants, refineries, petrochemical facilities, marine facilities, etc. The crew may include all skill levels from apprentice to journeymen, in the fields of millwright, pipefitter, welder, civil/carpenter, boilermaker, etc. The Field Service Supervisor will work closely with both customers and Outside Sales personnel to develop job scopes and plans and estimate cost, duration and manpower for field service activities. The person in this position is also responsible for maintaining a schedule of all field service activities, ensuring that information related resource availability (or lack thereof) is readily available to PPE sales personnel and leadership. This position may require local travel to multiple customer sites per day for activities ranging from bid walks to project execution, and occasional regional travel to customer sites within the John H Carter territory. The person in this position must be capable of working with applicable computer programs to schedule resources, communicate with internal and external customers, develop and provide quotes to sales personnel, assist with timekeeping activities for all members of the Field Service crew, manage time off (PTO) requests for crew members, etc. Finally, the Field Service Supervisor must ensure that the field service crew performs all job duties in accordance with all PPE/JHC and customer safety and environmental requirements and customer technical specifications.
