About the Job
Primary responsibilities and capabilities for our Mechanical Skill Trades include but are not limited to:
* Able to read mechanical drawings for fabrication and or assembly of equipment
* Able to complete precise lay-outs for new equipment and or relocated equipment
* Able to use all hand tools of trade as needed
* Millwright to have rigging experience. Bull rigging experience is a plus
* Able to operate carry deck cranes, heavy industrial rigger fork lifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts, high reach lulls
* Millwright to have experience using heavy duty machine rollers and toe-jacks. Experience using air bearings is a plus
* Experience using calipers & micrometers for precise measurement of shafts and or mechanical assemblies
* Pipe fitting experience of all types of pipe work, e.g., screw, weld, copper, or glue joints
* Welding experience that includes mig, tig, and stick welding experience a plus
* Millwright to have experience with removal & installation of all bearing types
* Ability to fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts to precise tolerances
* Millwright to have experience using oxyacetylene torch for flame cutting and heating steel
* Ability to use Theodolite surveying equipment is a plus
* Ability to work in or out of town when needed
* Be a team player and motivated to work
Physical Requirements: Millwrights must be able to physically perform the below tasks at a minimum:
* Strength: 60% Standing; 30% Walking; 10% Sitting
* Lifting: 50 lbs.
* Carrying: 50 lbs.
* Pushing: 70 lbs.
* Pulling: 70 lbs.
* Climbing: Frequently
* Balancing: Frequently
* Stooping: Frequently
* Crouching: Frequently
* Crawling: Occasionally
* Reaching: Constantly
