Summary
Under the direction and supervision of the Director of IT, uses specialized knowledge or skills to perform hardware support and repairs for organization departments. Resolves hardware, software, and communication problems/conflicts/defects and related issues. Must interact with employees, conduct research, recommend, and maintain computer hardware inventory, supplies and/or parts. Other duties as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Investigate, analyze, report, and develop resolutions to hardware, software, and communications problems on Community Health Net computer systems.
• Performs complex hardware repairs and maintenance on various pc-based computers and peripherals.
• Provides hardware technical assistance, troubleshoot, and resolve system hardware, software, and communications failures and conflicts.
• Evaluates existing computer systems hardware, performs system upgrades, tests computer systems, and resolves configuration conflicts and errors.
• Install, integrate, and configure new computer systems and hardware for users.
• Research, analyze, and recommend appropriate computer hardware for system configurations.
• Review, prioritize, and process hardware issues; document project progress.
• Train employees on computer related systems as assigned and appropriate.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and adhere to quality service standards when responding to requests.
• Prepare and maintain systems for accurate invoice generation and recording of transactions.
• Orient and train users on system operations and procedures.
• Conduct and monitor system-related operations and alert the Director of IT of discrepancies.
• Assist in preparation, evaluation and reporting of all financial, clinical, and statistical data as required by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the Uniform Data Systems (UDS) reporting requirements.
• Assist in the maintenance and update of department policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance, and safety.
• Assist in care and maintenance of equipment and supplies; notify authorized services of equipment malfunctions.
• Maintain appropriate computer supplies for designated Community Health Net sites.
• Performs other job duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements
• Completion of an Associate degree from accredited college or technical school or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of one year's experience in health care facility is preferred.
• Familiarity with health care environment and health systems preferred.
• Demonstrated technical and professional skills in: computerized systems; office productivity software, SQL, UNIX, Windows Operating Systems, and Personal Computer, Maintenance, Installation and removal; routine Network Maintenance (preferred).
• Ability to perform advanced, complex repairs, and upgrades on a wide variety of computers and peripherals.
• Proficient in diagnosing the nature and extent of a broad range of computer problems.
• Knowledge of advanced computer troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to simultaneously coordinate and complete multiple projects.
• Proficient in installing and configuring computer systems, hardware, and peripherals.
• Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments in the absence of the Director of IT.
• Knowledge of organizational hierarchies, standards, and procedures.
