Summary:
Yorktown Systems Group is seeking a qualifiedMission Command Systems (MCS) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide Mission Training Complex Capabilities Support II (MTCCS) technical and functional Constructive Simulation and Gaming support to TRADOC Centers of Excellence (COE) and Schools. This work provides technical and functional end-to-end (simulation to Mission Command Systems (MCS)) training functionality using TRADOC Proponent Office – Constructive (TPO-C) low overhead simulations and TRADOC Proponent Office – Virtual & Gaming (TPO-V&G) games. Simulations and tools such as Army Games for Training (GFT), Virtual Battle Space (VBS), and Division eXercise Training and Review System (DXTRS) are employed to enhance staff training at the lower continuum of training thresholds with the purpose of enhancing Military Decision Making Process (MDMP) and staff training in each respective TRADOC Institutions training curriculum.
Specific duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Shall be available between 0800 – 1700 hrs, Monday through Friday except Federal holidays or when the government facility is closed for administrative reasons.
- Provide assistance and support with the necessary resources for planning, preparation, setup, operation, troubleshooting of the TPO-C, TPO-V&G, and MCS hardware and software applications and functionality to support the following tasks:
- Preparation, setup and operation of the closed networks supporting the TPO-C and TPO-V&G applications.
- Preparation, setup and operation of the unclassified simulation network backbone.
- Preparation, setup and operation of the classified simulation network backbone.
- Preparation, setup and operation of the DIS component between applications.
- Provide exercise preparation for TPO-C and TPO-V&G events.
- Provide exercise execution for TPO-C and TPO-V&G events.
- Provide unit database and scenario builds that includes planning, building, and loading, configuring and operating TPO-C and TPO-V&G applications/tools.
- MDMP preparation, setup and operation using TPO-C, TPO-V&G, and MCS Tools
- Provide end to end functional preparation, setup and operations from the simulation/tool to include the MCS.
- Provide terrain preparation, setup and operation for TPO-C and TPO-V&G terrain tools.
- Provide TPO-C, TPO-V&G, and MCS troubleshooting expertise when technical and operational issues occur.
- When a TPO-C, TPO-V&G, and MCS issue/deficiency is identified, troubleshoot a work-around and submit a Problem Trouble Report (PTR) to TPO-C using the PTR Tool located on the NSC SharePoint Site.
- Provide support to all simulations in support of other exercises, training events, and planning.
- Provide support to LVC-G and other simulations, as requested.
- Serve as a systems and network administrator. This task includes all computer and network functions and infrastructure affecting the TPO-C, TPO-V&G, and MCS tools.
- Develop and provide written records (meetings, conference, working groups, after action reports, etc.) for each supported exercise/event.
- Provide testing and validation support to the capability and material development of the TPO-C tools.
- Provide operational and functional support of the MCS.
- Develop and provide briefing/presentation for each supported exercise/event as required by the OSCOR.
- Develop and provide Exercise Technical Summary Report for each supported exercise/event.
- When required, provide TPO-C and TPO-V&G support to other than COE/Schools.
- Provide computer networking support.
- Maintain training content; update the MilGaming web site and its content: graphics, animations, scenarios, models, terrain, training support packages (TSPs), and videos.
- Installation, Operation, and Maintenance of TPO-C and TPO-V&G Applications; this includes troubleshooting and resolving TPO-C and TPO-V&G software, hardware and network problem, real-time editing, and backup/recovery of all TPO-C and TPO-V&G data elements.
- Configuration Management; Maintain TPO-C and TPO-V&G applications. Manage version control and continuous integration, for all configuration management requirements.
- Install, Configure and operate existing and Emerging Army Stimulation-to- command and control (C2) interfaces; configure TPO-C and TPO-V&G hardware, software, and peripheral equipment to interface with Army Stimulation MCS interfaces as required.
- Administer the TPO-C and TPO-V&G systems during exercises and training events; participate in After Action Reviews (AARs) IAW TC 25-20, manage the TPO-C and TPO-V&G security compliance activities, to include the design and development of TPO-C and TPO-V&G information technology (IT) strategies at the local level.
- Maintains accountability of TPO-C and TPO-V&G furnished equipment; maintains accountability of TPO-C and TPO-V&G hardware, software, peripheral equipment, MCS equipment that may be issued by others and other simulation related items.
- Participate in required TPO-C and TPO-V&G /Mission Command Training Support Program (MCTSP) program review; participate in exercise readiness review, initial planning reviews, systems requirements reviews, software and hardware specification and design reviews, and participates in TPO-C and TPO-V&G user conferences/developer working groups.
- Instruct training audience and personnel to operate TPO-C, TPO-V&G, and MCS systems and tools.
Job Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
- Four years' experience with MCS in a variety of environments.
- Experience in providing simulation-stimulation-MCS advice to support capability development, exercise support/construct and demonstrated expertise in capability development, VVA, and user support.
- Expert knowledge in all aspects of MCS – technical, functional, and database.
- Must have expert knowledge of MSC database administration in all Battle Functional Areas.
- Experience in developing and executing functional vignettes for test events and planning and executing Operational Readiness Events (ORE).
- Must exhibit expert knowledge in all aspects of Corps through Battalion (BN) level operations and provide expert advice on all aspects of MCS.
- Experience in military doctrine and training management and capability developmentand Command and General Staff College graduate or equivalent.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend the English language.
- Engineering Bachelor’s degree, and three (3) years’ experience in operating simulations, simulators, models, games and MCS.
- Experience in MCS capability development.
- In lieu of a bachelor degree, six (6) years’ of MCS experience may be substituted.
