We are seeking a Mitigation Manager in Tucson. The Mitigation Manager (MM) is responsible for providing day-to-day management oversight for the field mitigation and remediation teams. The MM is expected to consistently exhibit a proactive approach to their activities, oversee and lead a team of restoration professionals throughout all phases of the mitigation, dry-out, and remediation processes. The MM handles the training, containment construction and maintenance, and adhering to all industry standards for all in-house Mold Remediation. The MM is seen as a subject matter expert with a strong understanding of insurance industry practices and the IICRC S500, S550 and S520 standards.
What You Will Do:
The Mitigation Manager will perform the following duties along with any additional duties as assigned by management per business needs.
- Oversight for hiring, training and ongoing performance management of Mitigation and Remediation staff.
- Supervise job distribution management, with invoice oversight and approval as related to all job costs.
- Track and oversee all job production productivity, including job estimates, costs, revenue, profitability, staff productivity, workload, time reporting and job completion rate.
- Provide mentoring and guidance to team members, striving for positive team morale.
- Act as an expert in providing direction and guidance to process improvements and policy creation.
- Point of escalation for trade partner and homeowner job problem resolution.
- Serve as location safety officer, including oversight for job cleanliness and safety compliance, warehouse organization and safety, as well as, understanding and implementing the Kustom Hazard Communication Policy.
- Assist in securing new trade partners.
- Ensure drying equipment is properly maintained and repaired.
- Update and maintains SDS sheets for chemicals used on mitigation and remediation projects.
- Monitor and participate in an on-call schedule for after-hours service calls.
- Exercises significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine best method for accomplishing & achieving objectives.
What You Will Bring:
- High School Diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 5 Years of Water Mitigation, Fire Restoration, and/or construction experience required.
- IICRC WRT, FSRT, ASD, and CDS Certifications preferred.
- Proficient in Xactimate software.
- Strong skills in leadership and relationship management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Previous mitigation experience in the construction industry preferred.
- Persuasive speaking skills. Must be able to articulate a meaningful message to internal team, customers and/or industry partners.
- Ability to work in unstructured environments and situations and prioritize effectively with minimal supervision.
- Ability to analyze WIP reports and use the information to efficiently manage operations.
- Eligible to operate a vehicle per company policy.
