Mixer - US Waffle Company Inc.

Responsibilities:

Must enter all batches in Plex when mix is complete.

Lift, dump, and mix all dry and liquid ingredients into mixer and dump station.

Read and follow recipes and enter data into the Plex system for inventory control.

Utilize HMI / PLC to manage batching / mixing system.

Check viscosity by using measuring device and stop watch.

Check batter deposit weights, batter temperature, and other parameters as specified on documentation.

Monitor the griddle and oven to ensure quality product.

Able to lift 50 to 70 lbs.

Follow all safety and OSHA polices and report any issues or violations immediately to a supervisor.

Prevent cross-contamination by following all policies and procedures.

Ability to troubleshoot any issues in the mixing operation.

Able to work extended hours, available for overtime and weekend work as required.

Knowledge of SQF, GMP's, SOP's, and HACCP, and other food process sanitation requirements.

Report any/all food safety or food quality issues immediately to supervision or QA.

Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor / manager.

Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

Ability to read, write, and intermediate mathematical skills are required

Must be willing to work weekends and overtime when needed

Computer skills: o ability to learn and interact with HMI PLCs to properly setup mixers for production requirements 

Ability to learn Plex and input all ingredients, confirm batches, and understand scheduled job quantities / requirements

Moderate mechanical aptitude is needed

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift and carry up to 70 lbs.

Complies with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and all other food safety requirements

Complies with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE's) requirements

Reports any food safety problems or potentially unsafe practices/conditions to lead or supervisor

Constant walking and standing on hard concrete service

Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, lifting and climbing

Position will require working in very hot and cold conditions

Other conditions include flour dust, wet floors, occasional smoke and fumes if product burns
