Location Description:Michael Foods, Inc. located in the Village of West Jefferson, OH, is located just minutes from the western suburbs of Columbus and about 20 minutes to the west of downtown. We are proud to be Michael Foods’ most recent greenfield project, producing high quality protein shakes serving people all around the world. Responsibilities:1. Adheres to safe work practices, policies, and procedures. Follows Good Manufacturing Practices, maintains sanitary conditions and ensures that product quality is maintained. Reports any conditions or practices that may adversely affect employee safety or food safety/quality to management immediately.
2. Operates equipment to maintain regulatory standards and compliance at all times.
3. Mix batches of product in accordance with batching and kitting instructions.
4. Responsible for accurately weighting of all ingredients to ensure consistent batching of products.
5. Responsible for cleaning and production set up of the mixing room including assembly and disassembly of all piping and pumps in the mixing room.
6. Responsible for selecting the correct production formulation in the formula editor to match production schedule.
7. Ensure accuracy and quality of the individual batches to be mixed and transferred to the proper holding tank.
8. Maintains active communication with other departments to ensure an efficient operation.
9. Record appropriate information on batch sheets to meet Quality Assurance and regulatory compliance.
10. Utilize scales and meters as needed to get as precise and accurate readings as possible.
11. Have general knowledge of the Clean in Place (CIP) system.
12. Proper equipment cleaning through use of Clean Out of Place (C.O.P.) tank.
13. Operate motorized material handling equipment.
14. Manage inventory consumptions or creation in inventory management system.
15. Alerts the Supervisor when major mechanical problems and process deviations occur and reports any system abnormalities to reduce the risk of, and damage to, the system or product.

Qualifications:EDUCATION:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE:
1. 2 + years of experience operating machinery, and handling GMP’s and product specifications
2. SPC (weight control)
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
· 2 years’ of experience operating blending equipment in a food manufacturing environment.
· Ability to read, write, and comprehend shift change instructions, short correspondence, emails, and memos.
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively with other employees.
· Ability to calculate general mathematics using units of weight measurement and volume.
· Ability to solve problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
· General knowledge of chemicals
· Basic level computer skills, necessary to operate equipment controls.
· Ability to plan activities and work independently.
· Maintain a positive and engaging attitude towards colleagues at work.
· Mechanical aptitude.
· General knowledge of equipment and troubleshooting to correct processing deficiencies; ability to recognize and react in short time.
