This position may be eligible for $15,000 Sign-On Bonus with a 3 year commitment.

Job Summary

The Medical Laboratory Scientist working within the Stem Cell Laboratory performs a variety of clinical laboratory tests, procedures and related duties.  Utilizes scientific principles as well as technical, procedural, and problem-solving aptitudes for day-to-day laboratory technical operations, quality control, quality assurance, procedure/instrument maintenance and corrective action, test result correlation, and clinical laboratory related continuing education.

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and completion of NAACLS accredited Medical Laboratory Scientist program, or a Bachelors degree and one to two years of experience/training acceptable to the ASCP or AMT for the Medical Laboratory Scientist required.
• Six months Blood banking experience required.  
• Stem cell handling/processing experience highly desired. 
• Flow cytometry experience highly desired. 
• Molecular experience highly desired. 

 Certification, Licensure, Registration

• Certification as Medical Laboratory Scientist from the ASCP or AMT is required.  

Work Schedule

• Monday-Friday; Shifts will range from 6:30 am - 4:30 pm; Either 8 or 10 hour shifts. 
• On Call - every 3rd week/weekend 
• Full Time; 80 hours every 2 weeks

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 

• $27.50 - $41.50 per hour
