MLT/MLS Medical Lab Technician/Technologist - Lighthouse Lab Services

Position Overview:

• Perform high and moderate complexity testing at a basic level with some supervision.
• Perform laboratory support functions.
• Perform various testing in all departments (molecular chemistry, coagulation, hematology, special chemistry, urinalysis, serology, Blood banking) following prescribed quality assurance policies and procedures.
• Perform, evaluate, and document quality control and maintenance checks for in all departments to include temperature logs, discarding of old specimens and rotation of specimen racks for storage.
• Perform inventories and restocks reagents, calibrators, controls and supplies as needed. Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Perform equipment and instrumentation maintenance, troubleshooting and calibration as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all policies, standards, and procedures.
• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for patients.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• High level of attention detail along with strong communication and organizational skills.

Candidate Profile:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology, or a related science (MLT/MT program graduate preferred)
• MLT or MLS(ASCP) required
• Previous experience preferred but new grads are MLT/MLS certified grads are welcome to apply.

Salary/Benefits/Shift:

• Salary Commensurate with Education and Experience (Depending on experience) + shift diff
• Full Benefits (401K, Health, Vision, Dental)
• Shift: 2nd and 3rd shifts w/ rotating weekends and holidays
• Possible Bonus: $6000; $3000 paid after 90 days and 3000 paid after 1 year
