Responsibilities:
Driving the company provided vehicile (Mobile Bike Shop Sprinter Van) to clients at their home or work, servicing their bikes, supporting corporate/fleet customers, delivering swanky news bikes, attending and supporting events.
Providing general routine bicycle maintenance from basic tune-ups to full overhauls to fleet services, bike assembly and delivery, bike builds, occasional basic bike fitting, and parts and accessory installation as per customer specifications.
Positive professional communication with all customers via in person, email, over the phone, text, etc.
Provide technical support for local cycling events and corporate accounts from time to time as needed.
Execute and report on all use of "non-scheduled time” used to market our services, partners, and capabilities and generally improve our business.
Additional duties but not limited to: gear inventory receiving/shipping, Mobile Bike Shop prep and cleanliness, etc.
Selling bikes, component and wheel upgrades, and parts and accessories to our customers from a trusted advisor perspective.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must have current driver's license and impeccable driving etiquette
- Previous bicycle shop mechanic experience with verifiable references.
- Good time management, knowing how to triage multiple requests according to urgency, etc.
- Ability to keep detailed records of work completed.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Good knowledge of bicycle components and parts.
- Must be dependable with a positive professional attitude.
- Must have a strong work ethic.
- Must have physical ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be open to a background check prior to employment.
Preferred:
- You're a cyclist (mountain, road, casual, commuter....we love it all).
- Have deep experience working in bike shops as a technician, salesperson, or manager.
- Have specific training and product certifications.
Location: 100% Mobile on the Road
Pay Rate range: $19 to $23 per hour plus 100% of tips
(Tips often equate to an additional $3-$7/hour on top of quoted hourly wage)
Part Time: 2 Days a week, Saturday & Sunday
