About the Job
The Mobile Device Support Specialist will be responsible for managing mobile devices and serving as the escalation point for workstation support within our hospital. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mobile devices and workstations, ensuring that technology supports our healthcare operations effectively.
Configure, deploy, and manage mobile devices, including inpatient tablets, ensuring compliance with hospital security standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve mobile device issues, maintaining optimal performance and security.
Implement and maintain MDM policies and ensure proper documentation of device management processes.
Maintains inventory of hospital owned mobile devices. Completes inventory check a minimum of once per quarter. Notifies supervisor of the need of additional mobile devices and completes documentation as directed.
Serves as the primary escalation point for workstation-related issues, providing advanced troubleshooting and resolution.
Install, test, and modify computer systems and operating systems to support hospital operations.
Assist with the deployment and configuration of workstations, ensuring they meet operational and security requirements.
Perform preventive maintenance, evaluate system performance, and respond to malfunctions, identifying and resolving causes.
Participates in maintaining the inventory of workstation-related devices. Participates in an inventory check of workstation-related devices a minimum of once a year.
Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure seamless operation and support across all hospital technology systems.
Participate in on-call rotations to provide after-hours support as needed.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve support services. Attended any continuing education training related to assigned tasks or as directed by supervisor.
Requirements:
Minimum of 4 years in telecommunications, computer installation, maintenance repair, operations, help desk or technical support and 1 year focused on Mobile Device Management; or a Bachelors degree in Information Technology or related field and 1 year of experience in Mobile Device Management.
Must have certifications such as CompTIA A, Network, or Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate.
A background in planning, designing, and coordinating telecommunications and computer networks is preferred.
Experience with MDM platforms (e.g., MaaS360, Intune, MobileIron) and advanced workstation and network support and related equipment and software.
Knowledge of network and telecommunications systems, including installation and maintenance techniques.
Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to mobile devices, workstations, telecommunications systems and related equipment and software.
Ability to provide training and assistance to users; to analyze and resolve systems problems; to communicate effectively; and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
About J.D. McCarty Center:
J.D. McCarty Center is a pediatric rehabilitation hospital for children with disabilities birth to 21 years of age. We are a unique 36 bed hospital. Patient are admitted for a 30-day evaluation during which they are assigned a treatment team consisting of nursing unit, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, ABA therapy, nutritional services, social services, psychological services, behavioral analysis, and recreational therapy. Our 80-acres campus includes an on-site elementary, intermediate, and high school which is staffed by Norman Public School teachers. Patients may continue treatment needs beyond the 30-days as an in-patient in habilitation status based upon progress or placement needs.
