Full Job Description:
Triton Fleet Services is hiring an experienced Fleet Mechanic who wants to grow and become an integral part of a premier fleet repair business. Triton Fleet Services is a preventative maintenance and repair service company for commercial trucks, trailers, and equipment servicing the Corpus Christi area. Triton Fleet Services is an independently owned business that offers onsite, in-shop and roadside fleet repair and maintenance for its commercial clients. We are looking for honest, hard-working, customer service-oriented techs with the highest integrity to partner with. We are currently looking for an experienced lead mechanic and service techs who posses a great attitude and put forth effort towards their trade. Candidates must be able to work daytime and a call rotation in order to maximized income potential.
We are looking to add a qualified diesel mechanic who can diagnose and repair medium and heavy duty trucks, trailers and equipment . Must be comfortable diagnosing and repairing break-downs on Tractor-Trailers and some after hours emergency situations. Additional desirable skills could include the following: Electrical Diagnostics, Wiring, After-treatment, Suspension, Brakes, Hydraulics, Welding and DOT Inspections. Must have your own tools. Must be capable of working unsupervised as needed, self motivated, with strong documentation skills. Looking for a team player with positive attitude backed by excellent customer service skills. We are looking for a team leader who can grow with our company.
Qualifications:
- Diesel/Truck/Trailer/Equipment Fleet Mechanic: minimum 6 months.
- Clean driving record.
- US work authorization.
What you will do:
- Diagnose and repair truck and trailer maintenance problems as necessary.
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electronic issues utilizing computer diagnostics for truck and equipment repairs.
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections on various equipment, including but not limited to, inspections of all tractors and trailers.
- Ensure that all parts and labor are accurately accounted for. Install heavy components (starters, clutches, brake drums, etc.) of CMVs.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with OSHA, company & client standards.
- Possess a positive attitude.
- Ability to work after hours and some weekends as necessary.
- Performs work by traveling independently to various locations in the area as scheduled.
Required Skills & Education:
- A minimum of 6 months of experience working on heavy trucks, trailers, and/or equipment or equivalent.
- HS Diploma or GED is a plus.
- Technical College is a plus.
- Electrical and Hydraulic background a plus. Ability to read electrical schematics.
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work without direct supervision.
- Applicants must have their own tools related to work requirements.
- DOT Inspection Certified and Air Brake Certified (or willing to get certified.)
- Must be able to multi-task, be very organized, and be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
