Job Title: Mobile Systems Engineer
Location: McLean, VA
Position Type: Contract
Rate: DOE (W2/1099/C2C)
The Mobile Engineer's role will be to transition the company from the current mobile environment consisting of BlackBerry and Good Technology to MobileIron as the Mobile Device and Application Management system. The incumbent will also ensure the stable operation of current environment, help develop the new solution, and coordinate the deployment of services into a managed vendor service.
Responsibilities / Requirements:
· 7+ years of experience in mobile technologies, preferably in a medium to large company
· Maintain and support the administration of corporate mobile, application and messaging environments, which consist of highly available solutions
· Lead the mobile projects, software upgrades, architecture changes and implementation of new components within the environment to ensure all services are provisioned as expected
· Be the point of contact for infrastructure management. Coordinate discussions and brings consensus to issues working with technical and non-technical teams including vendors
· Also responsible for the administration, maintenance and production support for the Blackberry Enterprise Server and other Mobile Device Management technologies
· Knowledge of legal and compliance requirements such as electronic records management including document retention, deletion and legal hold policies
· Troubleshooting mobile server and service issues, working in collaboration with other relevant IT areas and vendor support towards a quick and effective resolution
· Performing some administration tasks such as conducting patch management, validating systems baseline configuration and other controls related activities
· Create and update project documentation maintain production documentation
· Fundamental understanding of network and Internet concepts (e.g., firewalls, load balancers, web browsers, TCP/IP, SSL, HTTP, etc.)
· Effective analytical, planning, organizational, problem determination and resolution process skills.
· Messaging engineering/administration experience a plus
· Familiarity with SOX regulations and best practices implementing Internal controls for compliance
· Effective teamwork and excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, in a multicultural environment
Education / Certification
· Bachelor's Degree in a related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
· 7+ years of experience in implement and maintaining mobile systems
· Certifications preferred
