You will be part of the 9th Air Force (9AF) United States Air Force Central Command (AFCENT), which is the Air Force Service Component of United States Central Command (USCENTCOM), a joint Department of Defense combatant command responsible for U.S. security interests in 27 nations that stretch from the Horn of Africa through the Persian Gulf region, into Central Asia. This position supports 9 AF AFCENT/A4.
As the Mobility Inventory and Accountability System Analyst you will assist management with the Individual Protective Equipment (IPE) and Mobility Inventory and Accountability System (MICAS). You will also provide expertise on management of chemical warfare defense (CWDE) gear (C-bags), A-bag and B-Bag program including supporting 9 AF AFCENT/A4RS with expertise on Individual Protective Equipment (IPE) and Mobility Inventory and the Accountability System (MICAS) or future equivalents and resolve logistics and supply problems if required.
In this role you will:
- Assist with posturing resources against programs to plan, present and execute budgets, to analyze budget impacts on programs and to forecast long-term requirements. Present the conclusions either in written form or by briefing to USAFCENT/A4
- Use/update/verify MICAS data to keep accountability of all IPE assets within the USCENTCOM AOR.
- Provide asset/funds requirements for all IPE assets within the USCENTCOM AOR.
- Coordinate shipping of IPE assets with the applicable commands or agencies.
- Provide expertise for management of Individual Body Armor (IBA).
- Review inventory listings to ensure accountability of IBA.
- Assist with representing USAFCENT at mobility conferences and provide MICAS training/overview as directed by A4R leadership.
- Responsible for accounting of IPE and IBA during the re-alignment of forces in the AOR.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- An active DoD Secret clearance
- HS Diploma/GED
- US Citizenship
- Five (5) years of Mobility Inventory Control Accountability System (MICAS) experience.
- Experience with distribution facilities and storage management functions and techniques.
- Two (2) years of experience utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- The ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
