Position Summary
The Mold Maintenance Technician performs maintains molds for the foam molding operation and performs set up activities to meet daily production requirements.
Essential job functions
- Performs all work in a safe manner.
- Sets up molds and prepares for timely and effective mold changes.
- Performs mold changes.
- Cleans molds.
- Troubleshoots any problems with molds and mold changes.
- Completes daily mold change documentation and other required paperwork.
- Participates in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement events and activities.
- Performs other duties as needed to support the success of the team and operation.
Qualifications
- Experience performing mold maintenance, mold changes, or set-up work is preferred.
- Must be mechanically inclined and able to consistently perform skilled set-up work in an efficient and safe manner.
- Must be able to read and follow work instructions and production schedules.
- Must be able to use hands and fingers and lift carry, pull, and push up to 75 pounds.
- Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability and willingness to travel for initial job training, including air travel and driving of a motor vehicle.
