About the Job
Seeking an experienced Monitoring and Event Management (MEM) Lead to take charge of our MEM operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing MEM strategies, tools, and processes to ensure the stability and performance of our IT systems. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a proactive approach to incident management.
Responsibilities:
·Develop and execute a comprehensive MEM strategy that encompasses infrastructure, applications, and network monitoring.
·Implement and maintain MEM tools and technologies to ensure real-time visibility into system health.
·Lead the incident detection and response process, ensuring timely identification and resolution of IT incidents.
·Coordinate cross-functional teams to address critical incidents and minimize service disruptions.
·Configure and fine-tune alerting thresholds to minimize false positives and optimize alert management.
·Ensure alerts are categorized and prioritized appropriately based on their impact.
·Continuously assess and enhance MEM processes, tools, and workflows.
·Identify opportunities for automation and proactive incident prevention.
·Maintain comprehensive documentation of MEM configurations, incident reports, and resolutions.
·Generate regular reports on MEM performance, incident trends, and response metrics.
·Build and lead a team of MEM specialists, providing mentorship, training, and support.
·Foster a collaborative and results-driven team environment.
Qualifications:
·Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
·Proven experience in MEM, including hands-on experience with monitoring tools and incident management.
·Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and applications.
·Experience with ITIL processes and incident response best practices.
·Proficiency in MEM tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, Splunk, or similar.
·Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
·Outstanding communication and leadership abilities.
