Morning Server - Barista at Fairlane Hotel

Barista/Am Server - $14 +tips (PARKING PROVIDED)

Union Teller inside the Fairlane Hotel has an opening for a Barista/AM server. This position is responsible for assisting guests in the restaurant by providing an exceptional dining experience, preparing beverages and food items, cashiering, stocking, and cleaning the café. This position involves constant customer interaction. Complete opening and closing duties, including setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas, locking doors, etc. Set up, stock, and maintain work areas. Input orders into the cash register system and collect payments from customers. Take orders, record them in the POS system, and prepare food and coffee beverages. Ensure that appliances (e.g., coffee makers) are turned on/off at the appropriate times. Bus coffee cart areas and tables. Clean dishes, utensils, work areas, tables, and equipment throughout the day. Obtain change required for the expected business level. Count bank at end of shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure bank.

As a Barista, you’ll :

• Provide a warm welcome to all guests.
• Anticipate Guest Needs.
• Ensure kitchen sanitation according to health and safety guidelines.
• Preparing and serving hot and cold drinks such as coffee, tea, customized, and specialty beverages.
• Clean service and dining areas throughout shift.
• Servicing customers and taking orders.
• Receiving and distributing stock supplies.
• Keep trash changed in the dining room and behind the register.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife-handling skills.
• Basic food cost knowledge.
• Understanding and knowledge of kitchen safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
• Must be available on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen, and restaurant employees.
• Constant standing/walking.
• Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying up to 50 lbs.
• Constant reaching, turning, and performing precision work around the kitchen area.
