Position Announcement
Utah Valley University seeks a part-time, morning shift Assessment Proctor and Admin. Assist in the responsibilities of Test Administration which may include the New Student Assessment, the Proctor Exam Center, and the Computer Lab. Must be comfortable in dealing with students and the general public. Requires experience with customer service, effective problem-solving skills, answering phones, general office techniques, working knowledge of Microsoft Word, creating and maintaining spreadsheets, data entry, and the ability to multitask.
Set Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8:05 am to 12:45 pm.
Summary of Responsibilities
• Assists in the responsibilities of Test Administration for the New Student Assessment and the Proctor Exam Center, and the Computer Lab.
• Assists in the responsibilities of Test Administration for the Computer Lab.
• Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications
High school diploma or equivalent plus two years education at an accredited institution in a major or discipline related to the Summary of Duties or an associate's degree in a discipline related to the Summary of Duties is required.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
• Knowledge of Microsoft programs such as Word and Excel.
• Skills in office methods, techniques, practices, and procedures.
• Skills in preparation of charts, graphs, etc.
• Excellent interpersonal, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to perform a variety of secretarial duties with minimum supervision.
• Ability to meet and work with the public effectively.
• Excellent customer service and phone etiquette.
• Ability to follow oral and written procedures.
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
• Ability to coordinate and assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets and departmental financial transactions.
