Mortgage Development Manager - Think Bank

Think Bank has an exciting opportunity for a Mortgage Development Manager dedicated to helping customers achieve their financial goals through homeownership. This position will focus on Fair Lending and the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), and understand the unique challenges and opportunities faced by underserved communities and low-to-moderate-income (LMI) borrowers.

As an expert in LMI lending programs, you will work closely with prospective customers, educating and guiding them toward mortgage solutions that can improve their financial well-being and help make homeownership a reality.

As an established community partner, you’ll proactively develop and nurture relationships that align with our CRA and Fair Lending strategy. This role will enhance Think Bank’s presence in the marketplace, allowing us to extend financial services to underserved individuals and communities.

This position will work out of our Edina or Eagan locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Originate Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) loans in an assigned community market, primarily serving low-to-moderate-income borrowers.
• Serve as the primary contact for the organization regarding the needs of underserved individuals and communities.
• Collaborate with the VP of Mortgage to provide updates on activities, market trends, customer needs, and interests.
• Work with mortgage support teams to ensure an outstanding and seamless customer experience.
• Research emerging trends, best practices, and new product opportunities, making recommendations for improvements.
• Deliver effective loan presentations to underwriting, ensuring loans are appropriate for the customer and represent a sound investment for the bank.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in business, finance, or related field OR 6 years of mortgage lending experience
• 5 years experience in mortgage lending
