MRI Technician – Radiology/Cardiology Compensation

• The pay for this position is $60 - $65 per hour based on experience
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

MRI Technician – Radiology/Cardiology Highlights

• The required availability for this position is evenings
• Hours: 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday
• Weekend requirements: Will work every 4th weekend or as needed
• On call: Yes- required as needed.
• No float requirement

MRI Technician – Radiology/Cardiology Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for cardiac and vascular MRI scans, reviewing history and explaining procedures.
• Operate specialized MRI equipment for high-resolution cardiovascular imaging.
• Use techniques like cardiac gating and angiography for detailed heart and blood vessel images.
• Position patients for optimal views of cardiovascular anatomy.
• Monitor patients during imaging, especially during stress tests or contrast studies.
• Review images for quality, addressing any artifacts or issues.
• Perform routine maintenance on MRI equipment used for cardiac imaging.
• Collaborate with radiologists and cardiologists to optimize imaging techniques.
• Administer contrast agents when needed, following safety protocols.
• Document procedures, technical adjustments, and patient reactions.

MRI Technician – Radiology/Cardiology Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
• Abdomen, Abdominal Magnetic resonance angiogram (MRA), Abdominal Magnetic resonance venography (MRV), Female Pelvis, Magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography (MRCP), Male Pelvis – Required
• Minimum 2 years' experience required.
• Certification Requirement: ARRT (MR preferred)
