Responsibilities:

• MRI Expertise: Perform a variety of MRI examinations, including those of the brain, spine, abdomen, and musculoskeletal system, ensuring adherence to established protocols and safety standards.
• Patient Care: Prepare and position patients for MRI scans, ensuring their comfort and safety. Explain procedures and answer questions to alleviate anxiety.
• Image Quality: Optimize image quality through proper technique selection and utilization of advanced imaging technology.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with radiologists, physicians, and other team members to ensure accurate diagnoses and timely treatment planning.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and complete patient records, documenting procedures and findings.

Qualifications:

• Required:
  • Education to meet certification, license, or registration requirements.
  • Upon hire: Oregon Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist License OR Oregon Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist Temporary License.
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
  • Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: National Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) OR National Certified MRI Technologist - American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists.
  • New graduates must have OBMI temporary license and obtain permanent license within 6 months of hire.
