The MRI Technologist, under the direction of the Radiologist and Radiology Director, performs all MRI procedures in accordance with ACR, ARRT, state regulations, and departmental policies. The MRI tech is responsible for ensuring patient safety and comfort during procedures. Possesses highly technical skills to operate sophisticated equipment for the above-mentioned examinations. The Technologist must exhibit expertise in patient care based on needs appropriate for all patient demographics. Other duties as deemed necessary.
PRN Status Clause:
This is a PRN as-needed position, you must be available to work at least 1 full shift bi-weekly, as needed according to departmental demands.
Additional Job Description
Minimum Training and Education: Graduate of an approved and accredited A.R.R.T. program. Graduate of an approved and accredited MRI program.
Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), MRI certification required (ARRT-MR), CPR certification required. SCRQSA preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) with the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
