MRI Technologist, Second Shift, Radiology-MRI
UC Health is hiring a part time MRI Technologist for the Radiology department for second shift at West Chester Hospital. We are offering up to a $4,000 sign-on bonus!
The MRI Technologist's role is to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients by producing diagnostic MR scans of various organs and structures of the human body. Operates with minimal supervision, uses independent judgment to determine quality of images, and compliance with established protocols.

Responsibilities
- Communicates in a clear and appropriate manner with patients and staff while being able to identify and respond to varying needs according to the situation.
- Performs all aspects of Magnetic Resonance Imaging according to established protocols by reviewing patient histories and requests, explaining procedures with completeness, and ensuring informed consent is given for invasive procedures.
- Ensures completion of MRI safety sheet for all persons entering magnet area and provides proper protection and positions for patients undergoing procedures while regulating exposure factors.
- Operates complex imaging equipment and reviews films for diagnostic acceptability.
- Reviews, prepares, and administers medication and contrast media under physician direction.
- Provides excellent patient care by engaging in sterile techniques, routine care, administering or assisting in CPR or emergency procedures, maintaining quality through control programs, and keeping appropriate records and supplies.
Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Associate degree in Radiologic, Nuclear, or Sonographic Technology.
- Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or have equivalent certifications.
- ARRT-MR licensure is preferred.
- Current CPR certification by the American Heart Association.
- Current BLS certification for Healthcare workers.
